David Tyree is a Piece of Shit

Asked in a recent interview with an anti-gay group called the National Organization for Marriage about a same-sex marriage bill that recently passed the New York state assembly and awaits approval from state senators, Football Player David Tyree said that "this will be the beginning of our country's sliding towards, you know, it's a strong word, but 'anarchy.' The moment we have it, if you trace back even to other cultures, other countries, that will be the moment where our society and itself, loses its grip with what's right. Marriage is one of those things that is the backbone of society.  How can marriage be marriage for thousands of years and now all the sudden because a minority, an influential minority, has a push or agenda ... and totally reshapes something that was not founded in our country," Tyree continued. "You can't teach something that you don't have, so two men will never be able to show a woman how to be a woman."
Hey, Tyree:  FUCK YOU. You're a piece of shit.  SHIT.  There was a time when black people marrying white people was considered wrong and possibly illegal.  How would you feel about that being true today?  Does that bring "anarchy" as well?   Weren't blacks once considered that "minority" of which you speak?  Why don't we go back to the days of slavery and see you take a stand then?  I bet you'd have a totally different opinion about the civil rights and liberties of others, you piece of shit.  I can't wait until it comes out about you cheating on your wife and we get to see how sacred the vow of marriage really is to you.  Piece of shit.

From Wikipedia:
Tyree grew up in a one-bedroom house with his mother and two older sisters after his parents divorced.  Battled with crack and alcohol addiction from an early age, and in 2004 was arrested for drug possession.  Then-girlfriend Leilah became pregnant with their *second* child.
Wow.  Where do I begin?  Raised by a single mother so, according to his beliefs, he wasn't raised as a man.  Alcohol.  Drugs.  Arrested.  Sex before marriage.  Babies out of wedlock.  Great Christian values!

Election Results

Well, folks...it's the day after the 2008 elections. We have a new African-American president; Washington now offers terminally ill people the option of physician-assisted suicide; Colorado defeated a measure that would have defined life as beginning at conception (wouldn't this be a scientist/doctor's determination?); South Dakota defeated a measure that would have banned abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or serious health threats; Massachusetts voted to decriminalize possession of small amounts of the marijuana; Michigan joined 12 other states in allowing the use of marijuana for medical purposes; Nebraska voters approved a ban on race- and gender-based affirmative action, similar to measures previously approved in California, Michigan and Washington; Missouri voted to require the state's three investor-owned electric utilities to get 15 percent of their electricity from renewable sources by 2021; Massachusetts voted to ban dog racing; and California voted to outlaw cramped cages for egg-laying chickens.

Oh, yeah...and California ALSO voted to ban same-sex marriages; Arizona and Florida approved ban-gay-marriage amendments; and Arkansas voters approved a measure banning unmarried couples from serving as adoptive or foster parents.

It's amazing progressive the US would lead us to believe it is when it comes to all issues except when it comes to treating gay people with respect and giving them equal rights, just like African-Americans, women, unborn children, dogs, and chickens. My favorite is seeing an African-American person driving with a bumper sticker reading "marriage = man + woman." They've gotten their rights bestowed upon them, so screw everyone else.

Florida vs. Same-Sex Marriage

Florida voters may have a chance next year to approve a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Voters may decide next year whether Florida will become the 28th state to place a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Sponsors of the proposed ban claim that they have gathered the required 611,009 signatures necessary for a referendum vote, but Florida's Division of Elections website shows the group is 253 signatures short of its goal, the Associated Press reported Friday. An election official has yet to formally verify the signatures. Florida currently prohibits same-sex marriage, but John Stemberger, an Orlando attorney heading the group opposed to marriage equality, said a constitutional ban would prevent judges from overturning the law.

"We believe kids need a mom and a dad, very simply," Stemberger told the AP. "Moms and dads bring something different to the table. Dads are not optional."

Who's talking about kids? I thought we were talking about marriage? Somebody get Jamie Lynn Spears on the phone -- STAT!
